National Trust Members’ Tour: This new tour incorporates Two ‘National Trust for Scotland’ properties in the beautiful countryside around Aberdeen, as well as including a tour of Aberdeen itself, time in Edinburgh and a ride on the Royal Deeside Railway.

This tour includes our door to door home collection service. 

Day 1

Morning collection from home to join our coach for the drive north arriving at our overnight hotel in time for evening meal.


Day 2

After breakfast we travel over the border into Scotland and continue north to Stirling, for a lunchtime break. With its impressive castle perched on a long extinct volcano and cobbled streets boasting a number of pleasant cafes, the town is also home to the National Wallace Monument. In the afternoon, we continue the drive north, arriving at our hotel south of Aberdeen late afternoon.

Day 3

A morning in the Granite City of Aberdeen, which we begin with a guided coach tour followed by free time. Walk along the cobbled streets, visit the delightful parks, or relax in a café and watch the world go by. This afternoon is free to enjoy the facilities at our hotel.

Day 4

Today we head out to Crathes Castle (NT), a magnificent 16th Century tower house standing against a background of rolling hills and set in its own glorious gardens. We then visit the little village of Milton of Crathes, where there is an award winning Victorian Station, a railway carriage tearoom, craft shops and an art gallery. We include a 20 minute ride on the Royal Deeside Railway. On our return, we stop near Stonehaven for views over Donnottar Castle.

Day 5

A scenic drive this morning takes us through some of the gorgeous scenery of Aberdeenshire, up past Kildrummy and on to the small country town of Alford, nestled peacefully on the River Don and surrounded by the hills of Bennachie and Coreen. In the afternoon visit Castle Fraser (NT), where granite walls rise up to form distinctive turrets, an atmospheric baronial castle filled with family treasures and quirky details.

Day 6

Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we travel south, cross the Firth of Forth and have some free time in Edinburgh. We then continue across the Pentland Hills and across the border into England to our overnight hotel in the Newcastle/Durham area.

Day 7

We continue our homeward journey to East Anglia by mid evening, where our door to door service will be waiting to return you to your home.

Our 4 star standard modern hotel is situated three miles south of the Granite City and has a pleasant restaurant and bar. Leisure facilities include indoor swimming pool, spa pool, steam room and gym. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, ironing facilities, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift.
