Day 1
After collection from home, we travel to a South Wales for our overnight stay.
DDay 2
This morning we travel to Ireland, by ferry, and arrive at our hotel.
B, DDay 3
Today we begin the day in New Ross with a guided tour of the 1840s Dunbrody Famine Shop and its insight and interpretation of the Irish emigrant experience. From here, we travel to the Hook Peninsula to see the worlds oldest operational lighthouse with stunning views from the Hook headland. We continue to Johnstown Castle where we enjoy a guided tour of the Gothic-Revival Castle and time to explore the Irish Agricultural Museum, lake walks and ornamental gardens.
B, DDay 4
Today begins in Waterford, Ireland's oldest city, with a tour at the House of Waterford Crystal, where glowing balls of molten crystal are blown in front of your eyes. We continue onto the coastal town of Dungarvan, before heading along 'The Copper Coast' and enjoying some free time in the seaside resort of Tramore.
B, DDay 5
This morning we have a short drive to Huntingdon Castle and Gardens. Here we enjoy a guided tour with a family member who will tell tales of this beautiful castle and gardens. We continue along the Mount Leinster Heritage Trail, through Fenagh and Bagenalstown to Kilkenny for some free time.
B, DDay 6
We return to our overnight hotel in South Wales.
B, DDay 7
After breakfast we continue our journey back to East Anglia.
