Known as the Queen of the Welsh Resorts, the coastal town of Llandudno boasts a 19th century Pier, promenade, and wonderful independent shops, but Llandudno’s main attraction is the presence of the Great Orme, the striking, rugged limestone headland boasting breath-taking views. View the spectacular scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, visit well-known village of Portmeirion and remarkable Caernarfon.

Day 1:

Travel to Llandudno making suitable comfort stops along the way, including a stop at Dobbies Garden Centre for lunch to be purchased.

Day 2:

After breakfast we join our driver for an excursion through the Snowdonia National Park, boasting vast areas of natural beauty and unique scenery. In the morning visit Betws-y-Coed, nestled in the heart of the Conwy valley on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Re-join the coach for your scenic drive through the centre of the Snowdonia National Park to the enchanting Italianate style village, Portmeirion, well known as the location for the 1960's cult TV series The Prisoner. It comprises of a cluster of colour-washed buildings around a central piazza, scenic surroundings, historic cottages, gifts shops, award-winning restaurants and has become known as one of the most successful British architectural projects of the twentieth century.

Day 3:

After breakfast we enjoy a journey on board the Great Orme Tramway. The Tramway climbs a mile (1500m) high up the Great Orme Country Park and Nature Reserve with the unique journey beginning at Victoria Station then climbing to the Halfway Station exhibition, where you can discover the history of the fascinating funicular and view the Victoria engineering. Change trams at the Halfway Station and continue our journey to the Summit where the views are breath-taking. On a clear day, it's possible to see as far as the Isle of Man, Blackpool and the Lake District! Afterwards we return to Llandudno for an afternoon at leisure. Day 4:

After breakfast we travel to Caernarfon, located on the eastern shore of the Menai Strait, opposite the Isle of Anglesey. Caernarfon is home to Wales' most famous castle and UNESCO World Heritage Site (entry extra). There are narrow cobbled streets with independent shops to browse and the stylish redeveloped waterfront is worth a visit. Time to purchase lunch here before we travel along the coastal road to visit the medieval walled market town of Conwy. Time here to purchase afternoon tea and look around this delightful town before returning to your hotel.

Day 5:

After breakfast we return to home area stopping in charming Chester for lunch to be purchased.
