Rhine in Flames

Day 1

Depart home area and head for the Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Travel through France, Belgium, and cross the border into Germany arriving in Boppard this afternoon. The hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking the River Rhine in Boppard.

Day 2

After breakfast enjoy a coach excursion along the scenic Rhine, visiting Rudesheim. Rudesheim is one of Germanys most prolific and scenic wine regions. At the heart of the Old Town you will find the charming Drosselgasse, a cobbled street with historic buildings, restaurants, bars and shops. In the afternoon we visit St Goar, a small quaint town across the Loreley in the middle of the Rhine Valley, home to one of the best places to buy a beer stein, clogs or cuckoo clocks.

Day 3

Enjoy a free day in Boppard, one of the Romantic Rhine's prettiest towns. Today we have included lunch in our hotel. Time to relax before the evening spectacular event - The Rhine in Flames. We board our boat early evening to watch the spectacular Rhine in Flames whilst enjoying a 2-course meal.

Day 4

After a lazy breakfast we visit the charming town of Cochem, one of Germany's traditional towns with half-timbered houses, which also has an exceptionally scenic location on the Mosel River.

Day 5

After breakfast travel back to home with our return Eurotunnel crossing.
