Sizewell Nuclear Power Station - Guided Tour

Sizewell B is the UK’s only Pressurised Water Reactor and the most modern nuclear power station in the UK. We have arranged a walking tour of the power station with a trained station guide.

 

We recommend you bring a packed lunch to eat on the coach.

 

The walking tour of our sites takes approximately one to two hours to complete and may include lifts, narrow corridors and in some cases stairways; this may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties

 

When booking you will be required to provide full address and dates of birth for all passengers.

 

Safety Requirements:

It is a requirement that arms and legs are fully covered when attending a tour. Shoes should be flat and secure, heels or open-toed shoes are not permitted. A warm coat as 80% of the tour takes place outside!

 

Any additional safety clothing such as a high visibility jacket and hard hat; these will be provided for you before you leave on the tour.

 

To comply with the requirements of their Nuclear Site Licence and regulators, you will be required to provide some personal information designed to allow background checks. The personal data submitted will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. You will also be required to bring photographic identification with you on the day, preferably your passport, and you will pass through airline style security checks before being allowed to take part in our visitor tour. If you do not have any photographic identification, please contact the visitor centre team to understand what identification will be acceptable. Those arriving without acceptable identification will not be permitted on to the station tour.

No cameras will be permitted

No mobile phones

No other electronic devices

No food or drink on the tour

Visitors must stick to the designated route whilst on the tour
