New opportunities for PCV drivers
Galloway Coach Travel are looking for experienced PCV drivers to join our friendly locally owned company.
Candidates will need a full class D PCV Driving Licence and must hold a digital tachograph.
We provide a range of work opportunities; Whether you are an experienced tour and private hire driver and enjoy travelling to somewhere different every day, if you would prefer operating routes further afield that are similar on a daily basis or something regular serving our local community, we have something to suit everyone.

Trainee PCV Coach Driver
We are looking for smart, professional people to join our busy team as trainee P.C.V Drivers.
Dictate your own destiny! Are you looking for a career change? Do you want a new challenge? Do you enjoy travelling to new destinations? Perhaps you prefer a more unvaried role? Whatever your preference coach driving is guaranteed to have something to offer you.
We want to find the next generation of Coach Drivers and train you to achieve your professional PCV licence through our dedicated company training school.
We ask that you possess a clean Category B licence and be able to pass the relevant medical test and qualify for a professional Category D licence. Good customer service skills are essential but we will teach you the rest!
Potential candidates will be required to:
Train for their PCV Driving Licence and be willing to undertake your CPC driver qualification.
Be conversant with and adhere to the Company's Health & Safety policies, and take responsibility for your own safety and that of colleagues and passengers.
Be able to turn up for work reliably & punctually.
Be courteous, polite, cheerful & answer passenger queries.
Show commitment to your role, be able to work alone and be supportive of your colleagues.
Undertake daily walk round checks for each vehicle driven, filling in defect sheet for each, and ensuring that buses are safe and fit for service
Have a clean driving record, free from any recent accidents.
Be trustworthy with company monies and other property.

PSV/HGV Engineer
We are looking to recruit a skilled PSV / HGV Mechanic to work at our Mendlesham depot with our small team of engineers.
If you are semi-skilled, further training courses can be provided which will further enhance you in your career.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the on-going repair and maintenance on a varied fleet of buses and coaches.
Undertaking vehicle maintenance, servicing, running repairs and body work
Prompt repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard
Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company Operators Licence guidelines
Ensure all repairs to company vehicles are carried out in a timely manner
Have an ability to work to the highest Health & Safety standards
Prep & Presentation for DVSA tests
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
